Event Description:
Join us for the opening reception of Art @ The Max VI exhibition featuring work by Detroit artists Ash Arder, Rose DeSloover, Megan Heeres, Scott Hocking, Mel Rosas, David Rubello, Robert Sestok, and Graem Whyte. The opening reception will feature a DSO ensemble performing an original piece inspired by one of the works on display — Scott Hocking’s Celestial Ship of the North (Emergency Ark) aka The Barnboat. The musicians include Principal Percussion Joe Becker, Assistant Principal Percussion Andrés Pichardo-Rosenthal, and David LeDoux, cello.
