LOCATION: Grand Rapids, Lettinga Campus

 

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Executive Director of Admissions and Strategic Partnerships

 

SALARY: $55,000 $60,780 (Actual salary will be based on education and experience)

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Recruitment Program Manager performs a partnership role with specific Davenport University Colleges and is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategies to drive new admissions leads, applications, and enrollment and opportunities for that College. This position will work in tandem with the Admissions/Corporate team and Academic leadership to remove barriers for the assigned College. This position will actively acquire new leads, relevant academic or corporate partnerships and identify education needs for the high school, adult, graduate and direct transfer markets that drive new enrollment resulting in increasing the University's enrollment and market share. In addition, this position will be the subject matter expert for the College, provide training to the Admissions team and work on strategic planning. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University's mission, vision, and values, which include diversity, equity and inclusion.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Develop new leads and increase awareness for the assigned Davenport University College's degree programs through in person meetings, referrals, emailing, lead development and networking to achieve identified new lead targets.

• Identify strategic needs for new students, develop action plans and cultivate business relationships to generate qualified leads.

• Manage the Welcome Desk staff and oversee the guest and visit experience, ensuring exceptional service for all campus visitors.

• Drive new admissions leads from BPA, HOSA, DECA and other assigned partners.

• Directly Manage the BPA-Middle Level advisor, and Maintain a consistent flow of quality applicants and transfers to the university by analyzing trends in the fields unique to the assigned College and to lead to an increase in enrollment and market share for the College.

• Meet/contact prospective new students through various means including inbound and outbound phone calls, scheduled and unscheduled appointments, lead cards, web inquiries, admission applications, and internal and external events.

• Continuous achievement of follow-up activity policies and communication plans for prospective students, and demonstrate an adaptive recruiting approach as appropriate for each student.

• Work with students to successfully complete the application process, including the receipt of all required documentation for admission

• Responsible for planning and executing both on campus and virtual events that engage prospective and admitted students to drive enrollment growth.

• Work with the College leadership and faculty on strategic planning initiatives that support enrollment.

• Coordinate and facilitate communication on enrollment activities and strategies for the College to both admissions and academics.

• Work directly with Tech Centers to drive enrollment growth in targeted academic programs, fostering partnerships that align with institutional goals.

• Effectively develop, schedule and present to large groups and organizations.

• Collaborate with IPEx to leverage corporate partnerships for strategic recruitment initiatives and enhance enrollment opportunities. Assist in the preparation of agreements for Admissions and IPEx for partnerships.

• Provide subject matter expertise to admissions team leadership to support leads, applications and enrollment closing of opportunities.

• Provide leadership and direction for admissions social media accounts, including creating and curating engaging content to promote the university and engage admitted students.

• Communicate daily with team members concerning upcoming leads, academic changes and any necessary follow-up activity to manage and shape partnership expectations.

• Develop, educate and facilitate training for admissions on the College programs, strategies and partnerships.

• Develop admissions enrollment strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations for the College.

• Work with Davenport University internal departments to leverage relationships, develop, and close opportunities.

• Participate in appropriate committees and provide counsel to admissions leadership.

• Coordinate with other University constituents regarding policies and processes to ensure smooth and consistent coordination of services.

• Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.

• Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in a related field required.

• Five (5) or more years of Experience with outside sales, account management and/or lead generation in one or more of Davenports market areas preferred. Experience with the assigned College field(s) of study highly preferred.

• Higher education experience preferred

• Demonstrated experience and success within a team approach. Must be strong self-starter with the ability to build corporate level relationships.

• Ability to develop and implement strategy, effectively plan, develop goals, meet deadlines, and accomplish goals.

• Effective public speaking and training skills.

• Ability to work accurately and effectively with technology systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, which transcend diverse audiences.

• Must be highly motivated and solution oriented with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University.

• Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain). Moderate travel, including overnight stays.

• No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

• Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or Saturday as needed, additional hours during peak times or as required.
